When do I use partitive?

If someone could explain in a simple way when to use partitive, that could make life easier for this excited, beginners student.

Koira - koiraa, tee - teetä etc.

Random examples with 'teetä' and 'koiraa':

Tämä on teetä. - This is tea.
Minä juon teetä. - I drink tea.
Minä juon teetä. - I'm drinking tea.
Minulla ei ole teetä. - I don't have any tea.

Minulla on kolme koiraa. - I have three dogs.
Minulla ei ole koiraa. - I don't have a dog.
En halua koiraa. - I don't want to have a dog.
Ajattelen koiraani koko ajan. - I think about my dog all the time.
