How to say the years when I want to say "1807-1809"?

I want to say that something happened between 1807-1809 or that it happened from 1807 till 1809. I figured out the phrases to use would be the below, but I'm not sure how to read the numbers. Do I ready them as tuhatkahdeksansataaseitsemän ja tuhatkahdeksansataayhdeksän (so nominatiivi) or should I use their genetiivi forms in the first one and the elatiivi and illatiivi in the second one?

Vuosien 1807 ja 1809 välillä
Vuodesta 1807 vuoteen 1809

If you say "tuhatkahdeksansataaseitsemän ja tuhatkahdeksansataayhdeksän" it means year 1807 and 1809 (1808 NOT included).

Vuodesta 1807 vuoteen 1809 "vuodesta tuhatkahdeksansataaseitsemän vuoteen tuhatkahdeksansataayhdeksän"

So you have to include the words vuosien–välillä/vuodesta–vuoteen and use the nominative form of the numbers when you read them aloud.

If you're in an informal situation, you might even say "tuhatkahdeksansataaseitsemän viiva tuhatkahdeksansataayhdeksän" (1807-1809). This is frowned upon by some language users but you hear it from time to time.
